Zoom imageAithbank Böd The Camping Bod at Aithbank was restored by Shetland Amenity Trust in 2004. Originally Aithbank was location to one of the main trading centres in Fetlar as far back as the 17th century. The present house was rebuilt in 1833/5 and latterly was home to Jeemsie Laurenson; a renowned storyteller and man of great strength.
Now operating as a camping bod, it provides basic accommodation for up to seven people in bunk beds in two upstairs rooms. There are modern shower and toilet facilities, a fridge and basic cooking facilities are also available..
The Bod is normally open from 1st April through to the 31st of October,limited bookings outside of this period may be accepted.
