A number of regular events take place on Fetlar each year, along with frequent one-off attractions.

For a list of regular events please also see the "whats on" page

The Fetlar Sheepdog Trials is a popular event, within the crofting community, and many serious triallists come over to participate or watch.

A recent addition to Fetlar's event calendar has been the Hnefatafl World Championship. Hnefatafl - an ancient Viking game - has been popularised by the Fetlar Hnefatafl panel, who are working hard to promote and spread the game. For more information about the game including details of forthcoming events please visit our Hnefatafl page.

As well as regular events, Fetlar often hosts occasional one-off events, such as concerts run by the Shetland Folk Festival or Shetland Accordian and Fiddler Festival.
